Internship – Marine and Technical Engineer, Autumn 2023

Do you have a passion for green technologies, alternative energy propulsion systems, development of production setups, and do you find it interesting working with cutting-edge technologies?

Then you might be interested in an internship at Blue World Technologies, where you will gain real-life experience as part of an ambitious and dedicated team working with methanol fuel cell technology and production as a green alternative to a wide variety of industries around the world, including the transportation sector.

We are currently looking for interns to join our team in Autumn 2023.

The job

As an intern at Blue World Technologies, you will be an integrated part of our team, you will see your competencies make a difference and we expect you to bring your ideas to the table.

You will be assigned to a team in either our Technology, Operation or Commercial department working on different engineering assignments that will transform ideas into reality.

If part of the Technology department, you will join the execution of tests of components, systems, and subsystems. You will participate in the selection of components, the development of test equipment, and product development of fuel cell systems. You will also work with test campaigns of purchased components as well as internally developed systems.

In the Operation department, you will work with the development and test of production methods and processes as well as production planning and structuring. One of the primary challenges in commercialising the methanol fuel cell technology lies in upscaling and optimising the production to cutting down cost and production time. Therefore, all developments are performed with a focus on large-scale production and automation. You will also join the development and design of production lines and equipment as well as installation work

In the Commercial department, you will be part of the team that links between our development and production and our customers, and you can work on system integration, project development, and product optimisation.

As part of the Blue World team, you will feel how it is to be a part of a very dynamic environment in a developing company. You will work on a subsystem or systems level and you will be able to focus on your bachelor project on a relevant area related to the use of fuel cell systems as a clean alternative to today’s combustion engine and diesel generator technology.

The internship project and the following bachelor project are planned according to the interest of you as a student and can be made in collaboration with Blue World. Ideas for projects could be the automation of existing manual processes, prototype development for new production methods for fuel cell components, proof-of-concept on optimisations on production processes towards large-scale production, or development and installation of test setups for both component and systems tests.

Your profile

You are currently studying Marine and Technical engineering and are looking for an internship where you can utilise your theoretical knowledge and get some hands-on experience. Having knowledge about automation and control systems and experiences with automotive will be an advantage but is not a requirement.

  • As a person, you can work both independently and in teams.
  • You are analytical and structured, self-driven and energetic.
  • You are accountable for your work and are result-oriented.
  • You also have a flair for details without losing the overview.

As the corporate language at Blue World Technologies is English, you must control the English language both verbally and in writing.
