Blue World Technologies has a clear goal to make a difference in the world. With a worldwide focus on climate and sustainability, we aim at making a positive impact on the transition to a greener and cleaner future. By supplying a real green alternative to combustion engines and diesel generators, we work to reduce the use of fossil fuels, and we actively support and promote the use of methanol produced from renewable sources. At Blue World Technologies, we are making changes for the long run – and we are doing it now!
A green and sustainable mindset
Our work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is a continuous effort, and we drive our development, production, and business with a sustainable and green mindset. In order for us to influence technological development towards better solutions, we need a strong foundation – a sustainable business model to drive the transition to a sustainable future.
The SDG is a unanimous formulation by the UN on the changes that are necessary to make in order to support the needs of the present and future generations living on this planet – it clearly states what the world needs from us. These demands include responsible consumption, production, sustainable management of natural resources, and substantially decreased pollution and emission of greenhouse gases. Blue World Technologies was founded on these goals, hence, the core of everything we work to achieve. Our SDG focus areas
TARGET 3-9
Ambient air pollution is responsible for 4.2 million deaths each year and must be reduced dramatically. It is a real health hazard to human life and has an equally substantial impact on animal life and the planet. Even though air pollution is more intense in urban environments where the use of personal and commercial transportation and power generation is denser, 91 % of the world’s population live in areas where the air pollution exceeds the WHO guideline limits. At Blue World Technologies, we develop and produce methanol fuel cells that power a wide variety of applications with zero NOx, SOX, and particle emissions.
TARGET 7-2
At Blue World Technologies, we are supporting and promoting green methanol to play a much bigger role in global energy consumption. By providing a fuel cell platform that can directly use methanol as fuel in a cost-effective way, we put this efficient electro-fuel to use in new domains and allow the global population to utilise methanol for various applications. Fossil-based methanol is already being produced in large quantities around the world, but with a green and sustainable worldwide focus, the production of methanol will gradually change to a production based on renewable sources.
TARGET 12-2
With a focus on reducing the consumption of the world’s reserves of fossil fuels, inexhaustible and clean energy sources are key to a sustainable future, but storing clean energy has shown to be a challenge. Methanol provides a solution so green energy from renewable sources can be stored from peak production to a time of need as a liquid non-pressurised electro-fuel. Efficiency and fuel consumption go hand in hand and Blue World Technologies’ methanol fuel cell platform not only shifts consumption away from fossil fuels but also utilises methanol as a fuel with a very high energy conversion rate which is vital to sustainability of the well-to-wheel cycle.
