Financial Controller – Aalborg

At Blue World Technologies we are searching for a Financial Controller to help analyse the figures on a deeper level. If you have experience and/or interest within a production company, and you find it motivating to join a company, where production is going from a small level to commercial production in the coming year, this could be the job for you.


The job

You will be part of the Finance team reporting to the CFO, where you as Financial Controller will mainly be analysing the financial performance of departments and of the production.

The focus will be on operations and on internal development projects. This means that you will be in close dialogue with the responsible employees for these areas, as we believe it is of high importance that the Financial Controller act directly with the department, to better understand the development in the numbers.

Blue World Technologies uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the ERP system, and basically, all data points relevant for the Financial Controller will be available in the ERP system. This means that there will be some maintenance and development work in the ERP system – and former knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar system will be an advantage.

Your profile

You either have a financial education from the university, e.g., HD-R, cand.merc.aud or the like – perhaps a background as an auditor. It is also required that you have at least three years of relevant work experience. Blue World Technologies was established in late-2018 and is aiming to enable series production within 2022.

The age of the company, and the fact that you will be the first controller employed within Finance, means that there are still several processes and analysing tools that need to be established, meaning you cannot rely on established procedures that you can just take over – you will have to participate in inventing them.

  • As a person, you can work independently and is self-driven.
  • You are analytical and structured, and you are able to create new processes and perform the proper documentation and instructions.
  • You also have a flair for details without losing the overview – even though we have to go into the details in some areas, it is of high importance that we do not drown in them.
  • As the corporate language at Blue World Technologies is English, you must control the English language both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience within a production company will be an advantage.
  • Experience within Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar will be an advantage.

Blue World Technologies is an ambitious and visionary developer and manufacturer of methanol fuel cell components and systems for the automotive and heavy-duty transportation sectors and stationary and APU applications around the world. The fuel cells act as a green alternative to combustion engines and diesel generators. Our fuel cells are based on the High-Temperature PEM technology combined with methanol-reforming. A combination that ensures a simple system design with high conversion efficiency and significant benefits including CO2 reduction, fuel cost savings, and zero harmful emissions.

We are a fast-growing company that was founded in 2018. Our headquarters is located at the Port of Aalborg, Denmark, where we are currently in the process of establishing a serial production of fuel cells. Besides the team in Aalborg, we also have a team in Kvistgaard, Denmark where part of our R&D activities is carried out.
