Our Chief Commercial Officer, Mads Friis Jensen, will participate both as speaker and panelist in at the 39th Annual World Methanol Conference on 18 November that will take place online.

On 16-18 November the 39th Annual World Methanol Conference will take place, this year as an online conference. Session description:

Renewable energy has an obvious role to play as part of society’s move towards a low or, eventually, zero-carbon future. It can be obtained by using CO2 captured from renewable sources (bioenergy with carbon capture and storage and direct air capture) and hydrogen produced with renewable electricity. This session will explore the technological, economic and legislative challenges that need to be overcome before renewable methanol can become material and, ultimately, the dominant production route.

At the session, Mads will be joined by:

  • Mr Mike Nash, Vice President, Syngas Chemicals, IHS Markit,
  • Mr Aram Pedinian Mohr, Commercial Manager, Highly Innovative Fuels (HIF)
  • Mr Sten Wranik, Managing Director, bse Methanol GmbH

At the session, Mads will speak about “Methanol’s role in a lower-carbon future” where he will focus on the potential of using methanol driven fuel cells for heavy-duty transportation.
